from the Islamic point of view, freedom is considered as one of the human's natural rights. It is also introduced as God's blessing, and as a mankind's value. "Tohid" -unity of God- which is the most essential and fundamental principle of Islam has a very close relation with freedom. In fact, freedom and equality can be inferred from Tohid. The divine decrees found in Qur'an and Hadith emphasize on freedom of religion and government, enjoying personal independence, and freedom of speech. |
