EXCAVATION OF THE INTELLECTS

Many of has been entrusted in the depth of humans and still, requires actualization. According to the religious texts, one of the duties of the divine Prophets (a.s.) is to grant realization to the potential of innate intellect. To grant actualization to the intellect, revelation has adopted different paths like development of knowledge and showing topics of various aspects, explaining the errors of the intellect and to determine its limitations. In the present article, this role of revelation – termed as “excavation” (اثاره) in the traditions of the Ahle Bait (a.s.) – has been elaborated and explained.
