One of the important epistemological discussions about intellect in the school of the Ahlul Bayt (a) is the interaction of intellect and revelation to derive and understand beliefs of the religion. From this point of view, revelation enlightens the intellect with three functions of awakening [تنبیهی tanbihi], explaining [تبیینی tabyini ] and teaching [ Ta&amp;rsquo;limiتعلیمی]. However, in some cases, intellect has an inherent limitation. In this article, the following four rules have been used to discuss the limitations mentioned: prohibition of syllogism [نفی قیاس], the impossibility of deep and complete recognition [استحاله معرفت بالکنه], the impossibility of recognition through comprehension [استحاله معرفت بالاحاطه] and impossibility of recognition through description [استحاله معرفت بالوصف].&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</abstract>
