The article argues that social sanctity often arises from rituals, institutional functions, taboos, and exaggerations, which can lead to a rejection of religion when questioned. In contrast, intrinsic sanctity is grounded in human creation (Fitrah), rationality, and free will. It concludes that the true realization of religion's intrinsic sanctity and its correct social application requires divine guidance through an infallible, empowered leader (Imam) alongside the Quran.
